Comes in complete, easy to fit kit that take less than 10 minutes to apply providing a totally rigid cast for effective off-loading. Locks the heel and toes in place to significantly reduce sheer, stress and friction. Works to significantly reduce repetitive stress injury while protecting the fragile wound bed and wound edges from shear and friction damage. Kit Includes: (1) Cutimed Cavity, (4) 2" x 2" Cotton Gauze, (3 rolls) 3" Delta-Lite Conformable, (2 rolls) 4" Delta-Lite Conformable, (1) 3" Delta Terry-Net Stockinette, (2) 4" Specialist 100 Cotton Cast Padding, (1) Delta Tery-Net Adhesive Felt, and (1) Open Cell Foam.

Wear time: this is up to the physician; however, it is generally 2-3 days after the first cast and then weekly subsequently. For patients at risk of maceration (i.e. high perspiration rate, high humidity environment, etc.) more frequent cast changes may be required.
How to remove: Avoid any boney area. Cut lateral anterior to malleolus and medial posterior to the malleolus and slightly beneath the toes. Use a cast spreader to separate anterior portion from posterior of cast. Cut stockinette at the proximal end of cast. Gently lift up anterior shell at proximal end. Remove residues with blunt end scissors.
